Michael Ray Lawson was born on August 27, 1960 in Chateauroux, France. As a military brat and son of a Dutch mother, he lived and traveled all over the world including New York, Taiwan, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia. Mike graduated from Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia where he served in ROTC and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He furthered his education in Business and Computer Sciences at Middle Georgia College and later Electronic Technology at Central Georgia Technical College. He settled in Atlanta in 1984 where he met his wife Teresa and raised three incredible sons, Andy, Kris and Ryan.
Mike served in several roles in the developing technical services industry for over 30 years culminating as a Senior Sales Executive for companies including Oracle, HP, Sun Microsystems, and most recently with IBM. He pioneered many of the technical sales and service strategies in use today.
Mike was a passionate lover of life, embracing every moment and living it to its fullest. He was known for his confident attitude, warmhearted sense of humor, considerable kindness, and endless generosity. He always had a joke or story to share with an affectionate smile and contagious laughter. He loved God, his family and was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend to all. He is preceded in death his parents, Robert and Catharina Lawson. He is also preceded in death by Teresa Lawson. He is survived by his sons, Andrew, Kris, and Ryan Lawson, and his siblings, Don, Kathy, Scott and Ken Lawson.
Funeral services willbe held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, 12 PM, in the chapel of Georgia FuneralCare & Cremation Services, Acworth, GA. The family will receivefriends prior to the service starting at 10 AM.
