Alice Carter Hambrick went to be with her Lord on Monday morning, January 20, 2020 at age 104. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heidi Hambrick Cole (Robert Cole, Sr.) in 1988 and her husband, John William Hambrick, in 1998. She is survived by her grandsons, Robert Wayne Cole, Jr. and Cletus William Cole. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Robert Cole, III (Alyssa Hawkins), Catherine Cole Charles (Jared Charles), Ryan Cole, Melanie Cole, Jessica Cole, Rhett Cole, Austin Cole, Caroline Cole, and Daniel Cole, as well as one great-great granddaughter, Makenna Martin.
Mrs. Hambrick, “Grand Mom” to many, grew up in Hendersonville, TN. Her most recent residence was in Canton, GA. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in education. She retired after teaching twenty-five years of elementary through high school education in Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. She lived a very long fulfilling life and was loved by many.
Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, January 26 at the Georgia Funeral Care Chapel, 4671 S. Main St., Acworth Georgia 30101. Visitation is 2:00-3:00pm with the service beginning at 3:00, Reverend Jeff Brooks officiating. Mrs. Hambrick will be laid to rest in the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta, Georgia.
