Anna Chalk-Hutson, RN BSN

Anna passed peacefully from this life at her home, the morning of April 22, 2019 after a six-year battle with cancer. She was cherished by her family, who surrounded and cared for her during the final days of her life. Anna was born in Philadelphia, PA, June 12, 1947. She graduated Saint Maria Goretti High School, Sinclair College and Temple University. Her career in nursing began in pediatric oncology and progressed to her retirement as administrative nursing supervisor. Anna was loved and respected by all who knew her.

She was a brilliant and talented artist. Her hobbies included doll making, crochet, ceramics, sewing, and painting. Anna enjoyed reading and traveling, but most of all she loved her family.

Anna is survived by her husband John Hutson; four children (and spouses): Cheryse

(John) Meadows, Leonard Chalk, Adrienne (Vernon) Wadsworth, and J Damien Hutson; seven grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley), Joshua (Jennifer), and Leonard Chalk; Gavin, Maci, and Talia Wadsworth; Brandon Hutson; four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Tyler, Payton, and Alaina Chalk; two siblings: Andrew (Marsha) Jackson and Denise Odeniyi­(Emmanuel) Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Rosie Jackson, and granddaughter Valacia Gaynor.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th at Georgia Funeral Care and Cremation Services Funeral Home. 4671 S Main St, Acworth, GA 30301. Family and friends received from 1p - 2p. Service to begin at 2p. Internment service, Monday May 6th at 9am, National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton, GA 30114.
