Annette M. Rossignol Neugent

September 20, 1931 — December 26, 2020

Annette M.  Rossignol Neugent, of Marietta, GA passed away on December 26, 2020, after a valiant battle with numerous health conditions. Annette was born on September 20, 1931, in Providence, Rhode Island.  After graduating from high school, she became a legal secretary. In 1960, she met Naval Officer Charles L.  Neugent, and they fell in love.  After their marriage in 1961, they set off on an adventure of starting a family and traveling around the world, experiencing different cultures and making lifelong friends. She and Charley had three children: Grace, Jim, and Louise. After returning stateside, she returned to full-time work at Printpack, Inc. , in Atlanta, and worked there until her retirement. Annette had many passions in life.

Her first love was of God and the Roman Catholic Church.  She was a lover of theater and music, and played the piano and records for her children, which instilled this passion in them as well.  She was a lifelong Bridge player and enjoyed entertaining friends with frequent card parties.  She relished gardening, reading, politics, and spoiling her two grandchildren.  Her favorite thing to do was to treat her family to a beach vacation every summer.  Annette was also actively engaged in various charitable activities throughout her life and found this to be very rewarding.

Annette was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Grace Rossignol; her brother, Rene Rossignol; her sister, Jeanne Beckett; her husband, Charles; and her daughter, Grace Roig. She is survived by her sister, Claire (Cookie) Wilber; her son, James; her daughter, Louise Thijssen; her granddaughter, Olivia Roig; and her grandson, Nicholas Thijssen.  A full Mass and Memorial Service will be held at St.  Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy Street NW, Marietta, GA on Friday, March 26th, at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Dementia Society of America.  Annette would consider this a very worthy cause.
