Arthur Paquette Jr

November 12, 1940 — November 5, 2021

Arthur Walter Paquette Junior of Marietta, Georgia, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at 80 years old surrounded by loved ones.

He was born November 12, 1940, one of four children, to Arthur Walter Paquette Senior and Rena Ferland Paquette in Manchester, New Hampshire. His mother Rena Paquette, father Arthur W. Paquette Sr, son Timothy Paquette, brother Daniel Paquette, sister Joanne Paquette preceded Arthur in death. Survived by his sister Nadine Larrabee and Victor Paquette (of Port Orange FL). As well as many nephews and nieces.

As a young child, Arthur was fortunate enough to meet his future wife at four years old. On November 14 of 1959, he married Georgia L Morris. Together they went on to have five children: Timothy Paquette, Thomas A. Paquette Sr (Marietta GA), Tamara A Paquette-Pantoja (Loveland CO), Arthur W. Paquette III (Naples FL), and Tracy A Paquette-Cerrito (Hickory NC). Who in turn gave them eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Arthur spent his life building, creating, and teaching all aspects of construction. For those lucky enough to know him, it appeared that he was always the smartest man in the room. Talented beyond words. As a craftsman, he would say, “There is no such thing as a joint in the wood, it is only a continuation of the grain.” He was the owner-operator of “Works of Art Inc.” He always had a project going even well into retirement.

Moving from New England to Naples, Florida in 1978. Where they continue to raise their children until they retired and moved for the last Time to Marietta, Georgia July 13 of 2012. Where once again he started renovating what would be his last project. Together, Arthur and Georgia shared a mutual passion for gardening. In Florida, it was all about the orchids and roses, and in Marietta; it was about everything. At the Paquette household, no matter what time of year. Something was always in bloom as a dedication to the love of his life, Georgia Paquette.

Sadly, the love story that started as children will now only go on in the memories and hearts of all of those who knew him, loved him, and, most of all, respected him for all he had done. There will be a celebration of his life on November 20, 2021, with his family and friends at their home in Marietta.

In Lieu of flowers, you can donate in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
