Belinda Jane Mulkey, 67, passed away on August 30, 2024, at
Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome, GA. Born on August 12, 1957, and lived in
Cartersville, Ga. Belinda was a graduate of Cartersville High School, Class of
'75, and dedicated many years to nurturing young minds at Cartersville Primary
School. She was a devoted member of Creekside Fellowship Church, where she
actively participated in various church activities and formed many lifelong
friendships. Belinda's faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with
strength and comfort.
Belinda was a loving wife to Ben Mulkey and a nurturing
mother to her children, Sara Peden (Shane Peden) and Amanda Baskin (Erik
Baskin). She adored her grandchildren, Tyler Hickman, Brandon Baskin, Lainey
Peden, and Darcy Peden, and cherished every moment spent with them. Her role as
MiMi was filled with joy, as she loved cooking for and spending time with her
family. She is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, mother
Maxine Beavers, stepfather Harold Beavers, and siblings Malcolm and Charissa
Pritchett. Belinda was preceded in death by her father Sonny Pritchett, sister
Onnie Nichols, and mother-in-law Lula Alice Gayton.
A visitation will be held
on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM at
Creekside Fellowship Church, 585 Old Alabama Rd SE, Cartersville, GA 30120.
Belinda’s life was a testament to her caring, generous, and loving spirit. She
will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough
to know her.
