Billy Bates Cobb Obituary Mr. Billy B. Cobb of Dallas, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on  Friday, January 19, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born in Alpharetta, Georgia, on  July 27, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Pierce Cobb and  Carrie Bates Cobb; his brother, Edward Lee Cobb; his sister, Theresa Ann Phillips; and his brother-in-law, Hampton Allred Phillips.

He served in the United States Army from 1954 until his Honorable Discharge in  1957. He later served as a Budget Analyst at Fort McPherson, Georgia, and  continued to serve the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Billy  was known for his dry sense of humor. He enjoyed reading and taking the family  to Sanibel Island, Florida, every year. He loved photography and took countless  pictures of sunrises and sunsets, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Billy was creative and painted several canvases with oil and  acrylics. He served as a youth leader and opened his home to many young people  over the years. His testimony and love for Jesus touched numerous lives then and  continues today. Above all, Billy loved & adored his family. He will be dearly  missed.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn DeVore Cobb; two daughters and  sons-in-law, Cindy Lynne Cox and Don Cox; Pamela Jean Meyer and Wayne  Meyer; grandchildren: Hunter Cox, Bethany Meyer and John Williams (boyfriend), Jacob Meyer and Kelsey Anderson Meyer (wife); great-grandchildren: Jace Meyer, Riley Ann Meyer, Sebastian Williams, Addison Meyer, Greyson Williams and  Zoey Williams; sister, Mahallie Cobb and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on February 4, 2024, at 3:00PM at  New City Church, 3355 Old Jonesboro Road, Fairburn, Georgia. 30213.
