Billy DeWayne Lowery

Billy DeWayne Lowery, of Cartersville, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. He was 65 years old.

Starting his career at Goodyear Mill in Atco, Billy retired from Truett’s Chick-fil-A- Woodstock. He was a member of Atco Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Boyd and Shirley Duncan Lowery. He is survived by siblings, Elizabeth Lowery Womack (Dennis), and Kenny Lowery (Tina), plus a ton of nieces and nephews.

Billy loved big, and was proud to be part of a big family; the Lowerys and the Duncans. He is well remembered for his big smile and bigger heart. Always living life to the fullest, Billy encouraged others that life is short so make the most of it. He loved everyone regardless of their position in life. Billy’s favorite past times were working his plants and flowers, and trips to the beach in his Jeep.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 12:00 noon with visitation from 10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. at Atco Baptist Church, 20 Parmenter Street, Cartersville, GA, with Dr. Justin Holcomb officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Atco Baptist Church.
