Brenda L. Greene, PT, PhD age 65 passed on June 27, 2023 in Atlanta, GA after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She will be remembered as a great friend, passionate educator, and cherished family member. She was an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University, began teaching in 1988 and served as Associate Director of the Physical Therapy Program. She was an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and one of the first nationally certified orthopedic physical therapy clinical specialists in 1989. Brenda was a highly regarded faculty member. Her research interests at Emory included health promotion, arthritis, and occupational health.
Brenda was proud of adopting her dogs and proud of her flower garden. She is survived by her father Bertram Greene, brother Glenn Greene, her Uncle Michael Kossey and Aunt Mary Kossey, former spouse David McDonald. Her mother was Emma Greene (Kossey). She has cousins in Michigan, Virginia, Florida and Massachusetts. Her memorial and private burial service will be held at a future date in Tecumseh,MI.
