Cawado Jasmin

Cawado Jasmin, 70, passed away peacefully March 9, 2024 at his home in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by loved ones.

Cawado was born on December 11, 1953, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, eldest son of Aubily & Dieudonne Jasmin.

After emigrating to the United States as a teenager, he graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1974 and went on to pursue a career in Automotive Repair working for Mercedes-Benz for over 30 years.

His vast expertise was rewarded with accolades that he celebrated at the Mercedes-Benz headquarters in Germany.

He has been with his partner, Julienne Jules, and together they lived in Roswell, Georgia. They enjoyed cooking, gardening and many special moments together.

A beloved father, partner, brother, and son, Cawado was known for his passion for ballroom dancing, and his status as a beloved soccer coach to many in the Hudson Valley Soccer community.

Cawado will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He is survived by the mother of his children: Bernadette, his children: Remus, Peter, Gabriel, Matthew and Jennifer and his grandchildren: Kira, Eleanor, Derek, and Adeline.

He will be forever remembered by his siblings:  Yolonde, Edwidge, Henry, Don, Liz, Randall and Sandy and his numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on March 14, 2024 at St. Pius X at 11:00 am in Conyers, GA and burial will be held at Honey Creek Woodlands on March 14, 2024 at 1:00pm in Conyers, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in his memory.
