A Loving Obituary of Charlene F. Ramsden

Having said "I love you" earlier in the day to her daughter, Erin, who had cared for her for over 15 months, and once again to her son, James, who came to terms with her illness later on that evening, she softly sighed and closed her eyes in silent prayer for the safe arrival of her youngest, her daughter, Breanna, flying in from Orlando that night. With the instinct only a mother knows, she knew just when Breanna was safely here in Georgia.  Her children were now together again.  Her work done and her prayer answered, she whispered, "Thank you, God”, and took her last breath shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 9th, 2017.

Today, we mourn the loss of a beautiful flower, Charlene F. Ramsden, born  57 years ago on February 11th, 1960.  She bravely fought a courageous and valiant battle against stage 4 cancer with her selfless and dedicated daughter, Erin, at her side every step of the way.  Along with her three devoted children, Erin, Breanna,  and James, together with his caring wife, Rosie, Charlene leaves behind her mother, Kathleen; her brothers, Charles and Todd; her sister, Kathleen and their families; together with many cousins, other family members, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her adoring father, Charles H. Ramsden III and her loving sister, Karen.  A memorial to Charlene's life will be held later on this summer when her ashes will be scattered, as she wished, in a quiet and peaceful setting where swans gather to play.  May she rest in peace in God's caring hands.

With love and deep devotion to her memory and her life we offer the following:

In Bright White Light

When suddenly the flame that glowed,
So brightly in the night,
Flickered softly in the wind and breathed
One loving last bright light.
The world lost its way just briefly
And gently sighed and wept.
Then fluttered strong again
With the memory that it kept.
Of one so loved and caring
Filled with charity so pure.
A soul whose heart in bright white light
Will shine at Heaven’s door.
