Craig Walker

Craig Walker, age 63, passed away peacefully on October 4th after a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer. Craig was the pride of his parents, Clyde and Jane Walker, both of whom preceded him in death, as did his brother-in-law, Patrick Hagans, and his close friend Brian Neal. Craig’s life was marked by his strength, resilience, and enduring love for his family and friends.

Craig is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Walker, his son, Stephen Hagans, who were the light of his life, his in-laws, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and his many nieces and nephews that all filled his heart with joy. His faithful dog and loyal companion, Molly, was a constant source of comfort and love. Craig retired from Grainger in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication, and enjoyed his later years by engaging in fantasy NASCAR with cherished family and friends. He found great joy in sharing the excitement of races, bonding over friendly competition, and rooting for his favorite drivers.

Services will be held on October 25th at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens: 5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213. A viewing will begin at noon, followed by the funeral service at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Prevent Dangerous Harm Inc via PayPal in Craig's memory.

Craig will be remembered not only for his resilience and strength but also for his warmth, love for his family, and enthusiasm for life’s simple joys. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
