Cuthbert (Bert) Chamberlain was born to Cleveland and Mavis Chamberlain in Manhattan, New York on October 1, 1946.Bert attended George Washington High School where he excelled as a student athlete in Track and Field for which he attained many medals.

 He graduated in 1964.Cuthbert enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 11, 1966. His service entailed assignments from upstate New York, California, Azores, and Illinois. He was a Vietnam veteran. Bert received the National Defense Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and Air Force Longevity Service Award. He was Honorably discharged in 1972.Bert continued his career working as a telecommunications specialist while attending and acquiring his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baruch College in New York City. Bert enjoyed solving problems and staying up-to-date with our ever-changing technical world. Early on, he explored computer languages which led to him working as a programmer. Later, his telecommunications knowledge led him to managerial positions at such companies as The Clearing House on Wall Street, Northern Natural Gas, GlaxoSmithKline, and MacSteel. His extensive career took him across the US from New York City, to Nebraska, California and back to the east coast in Philadelphia. He retired with his family in Atlanta, GA.

Cuthbert married LaVerne Lima in New York City in 1970. He leaves behind children Tara of Corinth, TX, Jared (Melany) of Arlington, VA, a grandson, Izayah Neil, and a host of family and friends who remember him with love and appreciation. Bert placed great value in being available to support his family and friends. Whether it be family gatherings, social or technical needs, he always took joy in being available to help and support others. His loving and joyous spirit will be greatly missed. We were blessed to have been in the presence of a person who was so kind and generous.
