David Ray Cook passed away on July 5, 2017 after a 20-year battle with colitis and depression. He was the second child and only son of Ray T. and Marjorie S. Cook (both deceased) of Brookhaven, Georgia. He is survived by his sisters Linda Turner of Roswell and Nancy Barnes of Tucker and their families. David grew up and lived in the Brookhavene area, attending Woodward Elementary School and Cross Keys High School, where he ran track. His most recent employment was on staff at Georgia State University, where he worked until his illness would not allow him to. He was a long-time member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, where he was an active member of the Single Horizon Sunday School Class. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 on July 29, 2017 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 3434 Roswell Rd. NW, Atlanta 30305 in the Wilson Chapel.
