It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Delroy George Stewart, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Delroy passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2024, leaving behind his devoted wife of 52 years, Carlene Stewart, their five children, Cheryl, Kareta, Marsha, Halleem, and Jamelle, as well as their spouses, Donald, Erica, and Maria. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Shernel, and his parents, Clifford Stewart and Mavis Watson.
Delroy also leaves behind his brother, two sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A man of deep faith, Delroy had a profound love for God, which was evident in his daily life and the way he treated others. Known for his sharp wit and humorous personality, he had an incredible ability to bring joy and laughter wherever he went.
Delroy was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Originally from Jamaica, he was a talented carpenter known for his skilled craftsmanship, hard work, and dedication. He was a guiding light for his family and a source of love and strength to everyone around him.
Funeral services will be held on October 12th, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Georgia Funeral Care, with burial to follow at Providence Cemetery. Delroy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
