Dorothy Viands, 81,formerly of Wilmington, DE died peacefully on December 2, 2017 at Tranquilityat Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, GA.

She is survived by her children Gayle Vilcoq (Paul) of Acworth, GA, EdwardSchmidt (Linda) of Taylorsville, KY, Terry Schmidt-Bleau (Richard) of Greer, SC& Jeffrey Schmidt of Smyrna, DE; five grandchildren, Lisa, Nicole, Richard,Jeffrey and John; seven great-grandchildren, Briana, Brandon, Brady, Barrett,Madison, Bennett and Samantha; and great-great-grandchild, Callie Rae.

A service in her honor will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2017 inthe Sanctuary at Acworth United Methodist Church. The family will receivefriends immediately following. Private services and Interment of the Ashes will follow in Wilmington, DE.
