Ellen C. (Sandmann) Dunn

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ellen C. (Sandmann) Dunn, Acworth GA, on June 3rd, 2024 from dementia. Ellen was born from a now forgotten town of Pine Valley, OK on July 2, 1935, to Delphia (Adams) Coker and Thomas Charlie Coker, both now deceased.  Ellen, a devoted and beloved "stay at home mom" to two children, John D Sandmann Jr and Judy L (Sandmann) Cantrell, through their high school graduation. Afterward, Ellen chose to expand her education and attended and graduated from Kennesaw State College to work for AT&T until her retirement.

Deeply mourned by her husband Danny Dunn and by her 3 grandchildren of Joy Sandmann, Jonathan Cantrell and Ryan Cantrell, providing a great-grandchild Liam Cantrell, while being affectionately known as "Granny" with open arms to all family and friends. She especially enjoyed taking vacation trips at every opportunity to share time and memories with her family. One of her favorites was the adventurous Alaska Cruise inside passageway.

Honoring her wishes and desires, she will be cremated without a formal funeral service, as she only wanted her friends and family to have everlasting remembrance and celebration of her life.
