Children,Bruce Douglas Macurda and Kristin Dawn (Macurda) Rohrer, were soon welcomed into the family. Evy relished being a stay-at-home Mom while her children were very young. Desiring a new start after her marriage ended, Evy moved her young family to Atlanta in 1979. She found employment at what is now Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton and forged new friendships along the way. Sheretired in 2002; but she continued working part-time until 2009. Grandchildren began to arrive in 2004 with Gavin Seth Rohrer, and Evy was only too happy to become an active “Grammie.” Gavin was followed by Trista Grace Rohrer and Heidi Christina Rohrer. Evy played an instrumental part in nurturing and guiding each of them in their formative years.
