Frances "Fran" Faye Busby

Frances (Fran) Faye Busby, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and loved ones on February 27th, 2025, at the Community Hospice Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine, FL. She was born on July 5th,1948, to Rev. Clyde and Opal Parris of Summerville, Georgia. Fran was a successful business owner and hairdresser for most of her life. A proud mother to Brent & Nicole, but her most cherished title was MiMi to her 3 granddaughters Bailey, Anslee, and Carley. If Fran wasn’t busy on her feet, you could find her bathing in the sun until the sun went down, reading her favorite love story, gardening, or spending time with her family. Fran is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronald (Duck) Parris, Leon Parris, and twin Donnie Parris. She is survived by her siblings Cecil Parris (Polly) and Anne Lanier (Rennard). Her son Brent Busby (Lorrie Bazzell), daughter Nicole Phillips (Patrick), granddaughters Bailey Woodard (Larry), Anslee Alford (Brandon), Carley Phillips, soon to be great grandson Braydon Alford and several nieces and nephews. In honor of Fran’s love for life and colorful personality, we encourage you to wear bright colors.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: 

Viewing on Saturday March 8th, 5-9pm at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, Georgia. 

Funeral on Sunday March 9th, at 2pm at North Star Baptist Church with a burial to follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Fran’s funeral fund as life insurance unfortunately was not available.
