Gail Inez Youngblood

August 19, 1953 — February 28, 2025

Gail Metts Youngblood of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on February 28, 2025. She was born on August 19, 1953, in Macon, Georgia. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Cecil Metts, and her sister, Gloria Toler.


Gail was a lifelong, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her deep love for family extended beyond the present, as she was a passionate genealogist, dedicating countless hours to tracing her family’s history and helping others do the same. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loved ones, creating cherished memories, and strengthening the bonds of family.


She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever: her children, Dane (Kirsten) Youngblood of Haleyville, AL, Jerami (Musi) Youngblood of Homer, AK, Dusty (April) Youngblood of Katy, TX, and Summer (Andrea) Miskin-Youngblood of Santa Rosa, CA. She was a devoted grandmother to Abbigail (Rafael) Rivera, Marissa (Jeremy) Schrader, Sydney Youngblood, Emyln Youngblood, Cameron Youngblood (Allison), Jake Youngblood and Caroline Youngblood. Gail is also survived by her sisters, Candace (Dan) Morgan and Cecilia (Ron) Neiderhouser, her brother-in-law Jerry Toler, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 


A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main Street, Acworth, GA. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 6 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1624 Williamson Rd, Macon, GA, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Snows Macon Memorial, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA.


Gail’s love, faith, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of devotion to family and service to others will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
