A proud veteran, he served in the Army Special Forces, embodying courage, resilience, and commitment to his country. His strength and honor were evident in all aspects of his life, both in and out of uniform. For nearly 70 years, he shared a deep and loving marriage with his late wife, Joyce, who passed away in March of last year. Their bond was a testament to enduring love, and now they are reunited once more. Together, they raised four wonderful children and built a family that grew to include many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. His greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved, offering wisdom, laughter, and a steady presence that will be deeply missed. He was a mentor, a protector, and a man who led by example, leaving a legacy that will carry on through the generations he helped shape. He is survived by his children, Louann, Jay, Tim, and Kathryn, as well as his many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He now joins his beloved wife, Joyce, and those who have gone before him in eternal rest. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to herosbridge.org in his memory.Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, strength, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Jerry—a soldier, a family man, and a life well lived.
