Forever In Our Hearts

Henrietta Elizabeth Williams Holmes known affectionately as Mama Hen, the sunrose upon her on October 16th, 1942, and the sunset for her departure from this earthly world on March 28th, 2024.

Hen is a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church In Tallahassee Florida. Hen was the eldest daughter of Mary Elizabeth Williams And Wilbert Williams.

She was born in Tallahassee Florida she spent her formative years at FAMU High School and graduated in 1962 during this time she married the love of her life Charles Harper Holmes.

As she continued her education at A&M University for business management and graduated at the top of her class she then productively started working for the State Of Florida as an Administrative assistant. Hen wanted more out of life so she and her husband packed up and moved to Brooklyn New York.

Hen used her management skills to obtain a better Career in Brooklyn New York for her and her family( sons) Dwayne Delvert Holmes and Reginald Labaron Holmes she became the headcase manager for The Housing Authority in no time she was blossoming at what she loved most.

Hen loved going to church, shopping, and traveling the world on cruise ships, she was also a member of the RED HATTERS SOCIALITES SOCIETY CLUB.

Hen is preceded by her Husband, Mother, Father, Oldest Brother, and Grandson.

Hen is survived by her baby sister (Billie Hill), youngest brother (Robert Earl Williams and wife O’Shelia Williams) Sons (Dwayne Delvert Holmes) ( Reginald Labaron Holmes And wife Donna Jean Holmes) 2 Grandsons (Justin Kane Holmes) (Kendell Lavarion Terry)1 Grand Daughter (La ’Kenda Russell) 5 Great Grandchildren 2 Nieces (Lisa Callahan) (Amy Williams) and 2 Nephews (Cedric Williams) and (Christopher Williams).

Hen also leaves behind a host of cousins, great-nieces, nephews, and best friends. You will forever be in our hearts Mama Hen I love you and will miss you.
