JAMES (JIM) DAVIS BABB, 86, a resident of Kennesaw, Georgia, left this earth on Friday, February 14, 2020.  Jim was born March 13, 1934, in Denver, Colorado, as the youngest of three children to Claud & Marion Babb.  He was predeceased by his brother, Jack Babb, and his sister, Jenny.

Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eureka F. Babb.  He leaves a daughter, Debra Babb of New Hampshire; a niece, Linda Salvi (Porter) of California; a nephew, James Britcher (Porter); stepsons Wil Nichols (Jo Ann) of Arizona and Ken Nichols (Terry) of Virginia.  Jim also leaves grandchildren, Jeff Dusseault, Matthew Nichols, Deborah Colleen White, Caroline Nelson-Nichols, Christopher James Nichols; great-grand children, James Alexander Nichols and Brantley Mac Nelson-Nichols, and Morgan Dusseault.

Jim retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of service as a Master Chief Petty Officer, serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  After retirement he taught NJROTC in the local Kennesaw school system.  Jim and Eureka loved to travel after they retired.  Jim enjoyed writing, woodworking, and canning what he grew in his garden, including boiled peanuts. He made wine in the basement when Eureka would let him.  He was famous in the family for his Thanksgiving smoked turkey and homemade pizza.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the local VFW.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
