Brother James Lloyd Cochran, 73, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, following an extended illness. Brother Cochran was born in Ellijay, GA on January 15, 1950. Son of Blumer and Dora Cochran. He was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church for 12 years, where he enjoyed working on and around the church. He enjoyed spending time with the senior group at the church. He was a lover of people who never forgot a face. He enjoyed taking care of flowers and spending time outside in the yard. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Vera Cochran, Lena Holcomb and husband Ray. Brothers, JB Cochran and wife Ruby, Roy Cochran and wife Frankie and sister in-law Wilene Cochran. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Amy Cochran, Daughter Heather Cochran, Daughter Jessica Cochran-Huskins and husband Dennis, daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Larry Sparks. Grandchildren Austin and Ashley Cochran, Richard Adcock, Remington Fowler, Hunter Fowler, Mason Tudor, Israel Cochran and
Kelsie
and Kinslie Sparks. Great Grandchildren Addy Bauder, Adam Cochran, Easton Bauder and Ryder Adcock. Brother Johnny Cochran and Junior Cochran and wife Gail. Several Nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Brenda Cochran, Sherry Croy and Stacey Brock for all the love and care provided for James throughout his illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at New Beginning Baptist Church, White, GA. Visitation begins at 1:00 PM and the service to follow at 2:00 PM. with Pastor Michael Matthews and Brother Les Walker officiating. Pallbearers will be Austin Cochran, Richard Adcock, Remington Fowler, Hunter Fowler, Mason Tudor and Israel Cochran.
