Jerry Darlene Posey, 68, of Emerson, GA passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones in the early morning of 8/30/23.
She is preceded in death by her parents - Herman Hendricks and Joyce Watson, her sister Sharon Gann, her brothers Donald Hendricks, Randy Hendricks and Dillard Hendricks, and her son Andy Posey.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Ronnie Posey, her children Brandy Sloan (Jeff) and Ryan Posey (Kim), her grandchildren Amelia, Drew, Alexis (Randa), Carter (Meagan), Denise (Cody), Alex, Avery, Peyton, Charlee, Chloe and Sammy, her great-grandchildren Gavin and Gunner and her spoiled fur baby Abby.
Darlene loved her family and the memories with them together more than anything. She always put them first and made sure that their needs were met before worrying about her own. She was a giving soul with an amazing heart. She was the one in the family that everyone brought their troubles to, and whether it was the perfect words of wisdom or a warm home cooked meal - she always knew how to make everything better. She made her place in this world as a provider and caregiver to the ones she loved the most.
She loved to travel and always had a place in her heart for Myrtle Beach, SC and Gatlinburg, TN. She loved good Mexican food and a cold beer. She loved Nascar racing. It was the little things that made her happy and she loved to share those moments with those closest to her. She was always up for any adventure that came her way.
She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Her memory will always live on in this world with the love that she always poured into others.
Celebration of her life will be on 9/1/2023 at Georgia Funeral Care. There will be a visitation for friends and family from Noon to 2PM and funeral services will start at 2PM.
