Jerry Durell Seymour

On Sunday, September 20th 2020, Jerry Durell Seymour, Loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly in his home of 57 years in Rome, Georgia. He was born in Lineville, Alabama on March 23, 1936 to Oran Durell Seymour and Nonnie Parker Seymour. His wife, Patricia Seymour, passed away a month prior. They were married for 61 years.

His natural ability to meet people and engage them in conversation served him well as a successful sales representative for the National Gypsum Company for many years. Life for his family will never be the same as he was larger than life and loved to talk and cheer on his beloved Auburn Tigers. His ability to connect and engage with people will surely be missed, but the memories will be treasured forever. Most notably, he was a father and his love and support for his children in every aspect of their lives never wavered.

He is survived by his children Crystal Tuck of Monroe, North Carolina and her husband Tim, Lisa Baker of Calhoun, Georgia and her husband Jeff, and Mark Seymour of Rome, Georgia and his wife, Allison. He was a devoted grandfather to Patrick Tuck, Parker Tuck, Christopher Baker, Taylor Baker, Robert Seymour, Sydney Seymour, and Will Seymour.

Memorial will be held Friday, October, 9th  at 11:00 a m at Oak Knoll Memorial Gardens covered gazebo. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
