Julia Ann Scott 79, of Acworth, GA.
It is with great sadness that the family of Julia A. Scott announces her passing on April 8, 2019. She was born April 24, 1939 in Worthington, Iowa to Francis and Genevieve Kirsch. She married her love, Colin J. Scott on May 30, 1957 who preceded her death in 2016. Julia resided in Georgia for 30 years. She was a retired assistant teacher for Cobb County School district and an active member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
Julia was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She was an extremely caring woman who loved cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She made friends wherever she went and her coworkers loved her as well.
Julia is survived and greatly missed by her 5 children Harlan Scott, Coleen (Christopher) King, Valerie (John) Willett, Heather Acampa, Reginald Scott and her 4 grandchildren Nicholas, Christian, Casaundra and Cody, her sisters Rosemary Hendriks and Kathleen (Richard) Smith, and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Colin, and her sister Bonnie Johnson.
Celebrate her life on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church 87 Lacy Street Marietta, GA 30060. Family and friends to gather at the church for funeral mass at 10:00AM with lunch at the church following.
In lieu of flowers, friends may also send donations in the memory of Julia Ann Scott to Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
