Julia C. Miller died Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Marietta,Georgia. She will be interred atArlington National Cemetery alongside her husband, Edward S. Miller, a retiredLieutenant Colonel from World War II.
Mrs. Miller was born in Woodside, NY January 16, 1922, adaughter of Josef Majer and Caroline Koerscher Majer. She spent many summers on her family’s farmin Praha, Czechoslovakia. She graduatedJulia Richmond High School in 1940. Shemarried Earl Zwicke July 18, 1943 at the First Reformed Church of CollegePoint. Mr. Zwicke, an employee of theAmerican Chicle Company died in 1965.
Mrs. Miller worked as a home typist and then for Clyde J.Sarzin, a philatelist. She enjoyedknitting, reading and traveling.
Mrs. Miller moved to Kennesaw, Georgia in 1989. For the past few years she was a resident ofParc at Piedmont in Marietta, Georgia.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Sal) Fiorentino ofAurora, NC and Diane (Ed) Tesiny of Delmar, NY, three grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren and four nieces. Hersister, Elvira (Vera) Graham predeceased her.
