The family of Kelley Denise Ferguson, 51, of Cartersville
Georgia, is saddened to announce her passing on April 5th, 2023 at Piedmont
Cartersville Medical Center. She was born on December 29th, 1971 in Hollywood
Georgia.
She is survived by her wife, Melissa Ferguson, daughters
Lindsey (Timothy) Cassell and Maya Adams, granddaughter Layla Cassell, mother
Dorothy Ferguson, mother-in-law Charlotte VanSickle, brother-in-law Jeff
(Janis) Mauldin, nephews Cody (Jennifer) Mauldin and Chase Mauldin, Special
Friend Rhonda Morris and many aunts, uncles, cousins and great nephews and
niece.
Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Charles Ferguson;
sister, Cathy Mauldin; father-in-law John VanSickle and her grandparents.
Kelly graduated from Cass High School in 1990 and lived in
Cartersville for most of her life. She loved Georgia Football, traveling and
her family. Kelly was rarely still, helping others and volunteering.
No matter what personal struggles she may have had, she
would still extend a helping hand and was a selfless person. She
did not judge others but was simply there to listen or provide a
shoulder to lean or cry on. Kelly was
always smiling no matter what life dished out to her and fought every battle
with an unwavering spirit that she would overcome it, no matter what. To know Kelly was to know unconditional love
and acceptance.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 22nd, 2023 at 11
am by The Pond at her Brother-in-Law’s. 863 Mission Rd. Cartersville, GA 30120.
Kelly was not a formal person, so come however you are comfortable. Special
thanks to Euharlee Baptist Church for providing lunch following the service.
