Lanice Jeannett Garner, 81, passed away on December 16, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Garner was born in Rome, Georgia on June 17, 1943. She is the daughter of the late Boyd D. Garner and Lillia Blocker Garner. She spent most of her life in Rome and Floyd County. The last four years, she lived at Burnt Hickory Residences in Cartersville, Georgia. Ms. Garner was of the Baptist faith and was a member at Hill Crest Baptist Church in Rome. Before her retirement, she was employed by Super Discount and Marglen Carpet Mill in Rome.
Survivors include her son, Colman Roberts of Cartersville and daughter, Stefanie Brown of Trion, grandsons, Eric Tutt of Rome, Peyton Roberts of Cartersville, and Colin Mathis of Trion, granddaughters, Erica Tutt of Cartersville and Bailey Roberts of Rockmart, great grandsons, Eric Tutt of Rome and Jaxon Sanders of Rockmart, and great granddaughters, Camille Lattimer of Atlanta and Londyn Tutt of Rome.
Ms. Garner was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Renee Tutt of Rome, sisters, Doris Marie Garner of Rome and Alice Tierney of Littleton, Colorado, and brothers, Jimmy C. Garner of Rome and Charles W. Garner of Kennesaw.
Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 1PM in the chapel of Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main St. Acworth, Ga. 30101. With Michael Westmoreland officiating the service.
