Lawrence(Larry) Walter Kyber, 88, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday,September 16, 2017, in Dallas, Georgia. Larry was born September 4, 1929 toWalter and Florence Kyber in Santa Barbara, California, and was the eldest of 3children. He graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1948.  He served 4years in the Navy, during which time he met his first wife, Patricia Gambino,and they married in Maryland in 1954. In 1955, Larry and Patricia moved to theSan Fernando Valley in California, where he began a long career as anelectrical engineer; first for Hughes Aircraft, and eventually retiring fromLitton Industries after 40 years as a Member of the Technical Staff.  Larry andPatricia had five children together, and in 1974 Patricia tragically died ofcancer. In 1975, Larry married Audrey (Audie) Sipe, and added a sixthchild to the fold a year later.  He decided to complete his collegeeducation decades after abandoning it for a career.  In 1982, he receiveda Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University ofRedlands, in 1984, a MBA from West Coast University, and in 1987, a Bachelor ofScience in Computer Science from West Coast University.

Larry lovedhis life experiences.  He especially loved learning, traveling, andsharing his stories with family and friends (which became better each time hetold them).  He also created many wonderful memories for his familycamping throughout the state of California, and enjoyed his many specialvacations to various places around the world with his wife, Audie. He was anadept handyman who could build or fix just about anything. Yet, his greatestjoy came from being a devoted husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend tomany.  In his latter days, Larry found special comfort in his faith inChrist.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Audrey (Audie),his children: Paul Kyber and his wife, Amy Jo Hostetler; Andy Kyber; PeggyCarlson and her husband, John Carlson; Tim Kyber and his wife, Dawna Kyber;Katie Bouvier and her husband, Philippe Bouvier; and Tony Kyber and his wife,Brigitta Kyber.  He also had 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; his mother, Florence; hissisters Helen and Viola; and his wife of almost 20 years, Patricia. A privateservice will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery. Special thanks to thestaff at The Overlook and Heartland Hospice for their care and devotion duringhis final days.
