May 27, 1958 – January 22, 2017
Born in Portland, Oregon, Mark A. Carpenter was raised in the Chicago suburbs. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1978-1982 as a SAR swimmer. During that time, he met and married his wife of 35 years, Pamela (Landaas) Carpenter, and after leaving the Navy, lived in Illinois, California, Maryland, and Georgia. He worked as an Electronics/Computer Engineer for many years. He truly loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart and served him faithfully until he died. Besides his wife, he is survived by his 8 children: Allyson (Carpenter) Brockington, and her husband, Kevin Brockington of Texas; Alyssa Carpenter, Adriana Carpenter, Audra Carpenter, Aimee Carpenter, Annemarie Carpenter, Alaina Carpenter, and Austin Carpenter of White, Georgia; his two brothers, Tim Carpenter of Illinois, and Andrew Carpenter of Montana; his sister, Sandy Carpenter, of Wisconsin; his mother, Delores Harris, of Illinois; and his grandson, Hosea Brockington; and also nieces and nephews.
