Mary Irene Letts

Mary Irene Letts, 86, went to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Sunday, December 15, 2024 in Marietta, Georgia.  Please join us in celebrating Mary's life at the Capital City Baptist Church , 2243 Percival Road Columbia, SC, 11:00 AM, January 4, 2025. There will be a visitation and reception after the service. Mary was born in Columbia, SC December 30, 1937 and is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; sons Ron (Jill), Michael (Karen), and Tony (Michelle); brother Hugh Palmer; and 5 grandchildren (Ronnie, Alex, Emily, Carson, and Natalie). Mary is predeceased by her parents Tillman and Irene Palmer; brothers Tillman Palmer Jr, and Samuel Palmer; and sisters Sadie Turner and Jonnie Berry. Mary graduated Dentsville High School and went on to Columbia College, and married her high school sweetheart, Dennis, shortly afterward. Dennis completed his college studies and Mary became a Pastor's wife. After a few years in ministry, she and her family followed the Lord's direction to the mission field in Guadalajara, Mexico, serving there for 10 years. Upon returning to the US, Mary was a teacher in a Christian school and supported her husband as a Pastor's wife and serving the Lord in His work planting churches in Columbia.
