Portia is survived by her daughters, Jada and Dejah, her brother Samuel, and preceded in death by her mother Florette Johnson Hambrick and aunt Elizabeth Shackleford.

She held the position of Dietary Manager at assisted living facilities. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, Georgia. May she rest in peace.
