Richard Tyler Cummins, 49, died Monday, January 2, 2016, at DeKalb Medical Hospital in Decatur, Georgia, due to complications from kidney failure.
Richard was born February 21, 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a true Atlanta native and spent most of his years living in or close to the city limits. He was an avid reader, history buff, and a huge sports fan.
Richard will be most remembered for his kind heart and strong Christian faith. He was an active member of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Atlanta. He was employed by the church as a gardener, and was a member of the choir.
The memorial service to honor and celebrate Richard’s life will be Tuesday, January 10, 2016, at 10:30 am, at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, 737 Woodland Ave, Atlanta, Georgia 30316.

Richard is survived by his mother, Sandra Robertson, twin brother Jack Cummins, Jr., sister Terri Hiltzheimer, in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends Lou McWilliams and Jill Price, and his beloved church family. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Cummins, Sr.
