Ronald M. Manning, 77, of White, Ga., died Feb. 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Manning was a 1964 graduate of Adairsville High School and had a 40-year career with Lockheed, retiring as a Quality Engineer. He married Barbara Fuller on Oct. 10, 1968, and was a member of Connesena Baptist Church and Douglas Street United Methodist Church and attended First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville.

Mr. Manning loved gardening, hunting, fishing, genealogy, local and Civil War history and was an avid collector. According to family, he was an amazing husband, daddy and Papa.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughters, Rhonda Ireland (Sean) and Denise Kennedy (Ron), grandchildren, Allyson Ireland, Emily Ireland, Reece Kennedy and Tristan Kennedy, brother, Johnny (Joann), and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Manning, siblings, Julian Manning, Linda Manning and Reba Arnold, and parents, J.D. and Mary Manning.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wendy Wood of Amedisys Hospice and caregivers Jackie Washington and Ted Dodd.

Mr. Manning's funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Cartersville, with the Rev. Leigh Jones officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Memorial Fund at First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville, 183 W. Main St., Cartersville, Ga. 30120.
