Ruth Koenig

Mrs. Ruth Koenig passed peacefully on Thursday May 26 at the age of 92 with family members at her side.  Ruth was preceded in death by siblings Marion (Brokaw) Gray, Helen (Brokaw) DeGree, Charles (William) Brokaw and husband Clifford Anthony Koenig. Ruth was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and worked for Northwest Airlines as an auditor prior to her marriage to Clifford Koenig in Denver in 1959.  After Ruth and Cliff relocated to Marietta, Georgia and raised their four children, Ruth worked for U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell in Atlanta during his term in office from 1992 until his death in 2000. She leaves behind three daughters; Susan (Koenig) Taylor, Patricia (Koenig) Foster and Jean (Koenig) Woodworth (husband Bill Story), son Jack Koenig (wife Kristi), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Susan Brokaw and many nieces and nephews.
