Thomas Edward Melko (Tom), 57, of Dallas, GA passed away after a hard fought battle against multiple illnesses.
Tom was born on May 5th, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. Tom was a hard worker with many practical skills. He served in the U.S. Navy, worked as a diagnostic mechanic, and retired as a plumber.
Tom moved to Georgia and, in 1986, met Melissa Freeman (Missy) while they worked at a pizza restaurant. They enjoyed an incredible marriage of 34 years together. Tom and Missy went on to have one son, Justin. He loved his family fiercely and was very proud of the life he made for them.
Tom was good at many things. He loved working on cars and getting his hands dirty. He loved watching TV shows and movies. Recently, he had become the family chef and made delicious holiday meals and the best Christmas cookies. Tom especially loves playing with his two pit-mixes, Luna and Leo.
Tom is survived by his wife Missy, his son Justin, his daughter-in-law Olivia, his uncle Ron, his brother Dan, and many other family members.
Services will be held in May, around Tom's birthday. More information will be provided when the family has confirmed details.
