Mr. Alfred E. Welch of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the age of 88.
He was born in Atkins, Virginia on June 25, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. Welch and Rosa L. Welch; his brother Donald Welch and his sisters Marybelle Kegley, Virginia Barnes, Kathleen Overbay, Leona Raymond, Della Fouse and Nadine Vipperman.
Mr. Welch is survived by his loving wife, Sue Miller Welch; son Jim Welch; step-daughters: Debbie Haney and Judy Harrison; step-son: Neal Miller Margaletta; granddaughters: Lindsay Anderson(Alex) and Jamie Welch; step-granddaugher: Kristen Haney; step-grandsons: Jonathan Miller, Justin Harrison, Dalen Harrison and Chris Haney; sister: Maggie Bonham.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main St. Acworth, GA 30101. Visitation with family and friends will be from 11AM-1PM. The service will then begin at 1PM in the chapel. Interment services immediately following at Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville, Georgia.
