Blake Alan Storey died on January 5th 2022 at his home in Acworth, Ga. He was 50 years old.
Blake graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Ga. A Veteran of the Gulf War, Blake served four years in the US Navy as an operation specialist in Kuwait and other destinations in the pacific. Following discharge from the Navy, he received an A.A. degree in aviation mechanics in Clearwater Fla. Upon completion, Blake returned to Georgia and Cobb County. He began his aerial mechanics career with Epps Aviation at Peachtree DeKalb Airport. Blake Took a two year absence from Epps to go to Macedonia in the Balkans as a contract worker in aviation mechanics, returning to Epps upon return the U.S. He was employed by the same at time of death.
Blake is survived by his mother Rebecca (Becky) Storey of Acworth, Ga.; sister, Bonnie Zullo and her husband, Dennis Zullo of White, Ga,; nephews, Jordan and Zach McManus,; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Hayes Storey.
Blake was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He discovered his love for physical fitness while in high school. He might let a few things slide by, but his workouts were seldom one of them. He has been an adopted member of the Stacks Gym "family" for numerous years. Blake was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalms 34:18.
