Mr. Walter Bryan Dodd, 57, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away at his residence after an
extended illness on Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was born in Cartersville, Georgia, September 22, 1964, son of the late Bobby Dodd and Ann
Callaway Dodd. He was a graduate of The University of Georgia with a degree in education. Bryan was a prolific writer, dynamic advertising executive, rich storyteller and caring teacher. His array of talents, sense of humor and sharp wit were boundless and freely given as evidenced by the overwhelming outpour of love and support shown by his family from friends,
former coworkers, and associates. Bryan loved movies, many types of music genres, folk art, and of course his Georgia Bulldogs. He was a friend to all and uncle to three lucky kids. He was preceded in death by his father; Bobby
Dodd, grandparents; Una and Walter Dodd, Mildred Nash and William Garnett Callaway and his
brother; Bert Dodd. Survivors include his mother, Ann Callaway Dodd; brother Blake Dodd (Susan); sister Beverly Green (John); sister-in-law Martha Dodd; nephew Tripp Dodd; nieces Claire Dodd and Callie Dodd; aunts, cousins and his beloved rescue dog, Tillie. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2022, from 1 PM to 3 PM at Heritage Baptist
Church, 1070 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, Georgia. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, at 3 PM from Heritage Baptist Church
with Rev. Michael Tutterow officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bryan’s memory to your local Humane Society.
