Carol Evans Mihalic, 81, passed away recently in Canton, Georgia. Born in 1939, she was raised in Point Marion, Pennsylvania. She lived in Orlando, Florida, for fifty years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with a central Florida citrus company. In 2019 she moved to Woodstock, Georgia, where she enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughters, video chats with her new great-grandson, visits with the family dogs, and watching birds and moonrises from her windows overlooking the north Georgia hills. She is survived by her sister, Anne Michotte of Orlando, Florida; son, Martin Mihalic of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Debra Mihalic Staples of Canton, Georgia; two granddaughters, and one great-grandson. She will be interred next to her husband, Louis Martin Mihalic, at Georgia National Cemetery. Her family will gather for a private remembrance at a time yet to be determined. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
