Carolyn “Cappy” Simmons Murray, age 93, of Dallas, GA, passed away November, 25, 2020. She was born in Atlanta Ga., October 25, 1927, daughter of Robert L. Simmons and Carolyn Simmons.  Cappy was an artist, as well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved music, gardening and her Labrador Retrievers.  She was predeceased by her husband Walter D. Murray, older brother Robert Simmons and sister Beverly Purvis.  She is survived by her younger brother Joseph Simmons of Brookville, Fl.; eldest son, Michael W. Murray and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Geoffrey and Rebecca, all of Seattle, WA; son, Neil P. Murray of Rockmart, GA. 

For the last eight years of her life Cappy was lovingly cared for by Michael and Donna Huff of Dallas GA.  

A memorial service will be held in Atlanta after COVID.  She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.  Remembrances, in lieu of flowers, may be made to a favorite charity.
