Carolyn Marie Caldwell Nicholson was born in Searcy, Arkansas on November 7th, 1941 to Wayne and Alma Caldwell and passed away on August 20, 2020 in Kennesaw, Georgia at the young age of 78. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Nauvoo, Illinois in 1959, AKA as Sambo. She was a self -taught secretary by trade. She resided in Acworth, Georgia with her husband, Richard Nicholson. She is survived by her husband, Richard, son, Mark Nicholson and his wife Priscilla, daughter, Diane Hughes and her husband James, five grandchildren, Matthew Nicholson, Alyssa Nicholson, Connor Hughes, Parker Hughes, and Walker John Hughes, several nieces and nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews as well as many friends that loved her as much as we did.
Carolyn loved life and embraced it to its fullest capacity. She loved working hard and playing even harder. She was an avid tennis player, painter, decorator, hands on mother, business entrepreneur with her husband and wife to her beloved husband just 5 days shy of 58 years.
A celebration of life on September 16th at 12:00 at Georgia Funeral Care followed by a private burial service at the Georgia National Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Carolyn had many favorite charities, one of her favorites was The Salvation Army.
