Charles Norman Rosser, Jr.

December 24, 1958 – October 24, 2024

Charles Norman Rosser, Jr. passed away on October 24, 2024, while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes. Born on December 24, 1958, and raised in Centre, Alabama, Charles dedicated his life to his family, friends, and the Cartersville community.

A charismatic individual who never met a stranger, Charles enjoyed a thirty-three-year career with Snap-on Tools, where he was nationally recognized as a top salesman. During those years, he developed numerous lifelong friendships. Even in his downtime, Charles was always helping others, leaving a positive impact on everyone around him. Known for his resourcefulness, ingenuity, and tenacity, there was never a problem he couldn’t make better.

A devoted husband of 48 years, Charles was known for his big personality and even bigger heart. His family was his greatest priority, and he loved Sheila, Celina, and his grandchildren unconditionally. Some of his most cherished memories were made during annual family beach trips.

“Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one” – Charles seemed to embody this phrase. Throughout his life, he excelled at a wide variety of hobbies and activities. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also worked as a front tire carrier on a pit crew, perfected his grilling skills, and played offensive tackle and defensive guard on the football field with such speed that he left Bear Bryant speechless. He even became a pilot. Charles lived life to the fullest, with Sheila always by his side, from their days as high school sweethearts – he the star football player, she the cheerleader – to their mountain getaways in later years.

Charles left the world better than he found it, and his absence will be deeply felt.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila Williams Rosser; his daughter, Celina Rosser Beaver; his son-in-law, Henry Alexander Beaver; and his three grandchildren, Rosser Wells Beaver, Asher Parks Beaver, and Scout Rose Beaver. He is also survived by his mother, Joan Rosser; his sister, Pam (Max) Miller; his brothers Greg and Jeff (Donna) Rosser; and many other close relatives and friends.

Charles touched countless lives, and we invite friends and family to join us in honoring him. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Cartersville on Sunday, November 3, 2024. The family will receive visitors in the sanctuary at 3:30 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 4:30 p.m.
