On August 4, 1989, Dave married Shelley (Neal) Grubb, his high school sweetheart. He was the proud father of Danielle and Austin Grubb and Paw Paw to Ella and Owen.

Dave worked as a maintenance mechanic for over 25 years, most recently at Toyo Tires.  He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast for more than 35 years.  Dave was also passionate about cars and trucks, with a special affinity for all things Dodge.

While Dave loved anything with an engine, his real passion was his family. On his days off, he could be found mowing the grass on his property, playing with his dogs Zeus, Zoey, Loki, and Lucy, spending time with his grandkids, Ella and Owen, or watching Star Trek.

YOU NEVER SAID GOODBYE
    Author Unknown

You never said I'm leaving,
You never said goodbye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knew why.

A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill.

It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.
