David “Kyle” Brooks, 34, passed away on August 26th, 2024. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Kyle was born on May 24th, 1990, in Mableton, GA, where he spent his formative years. He was known for his hard work, dedication, passion for helping others, and his knack for getting into a bit of trouble. More than anything, Kyle was a devoted father.
With every opportunity he was given, Kyle cherished every moment with his daughter, Starla (4 years old), whether it was sharing stories, playing games, watching her favorite shows, or simply making her laugh and smile. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, regardless of the challenges he faced. In his free time, Kyle might have enjoyed some questionable “extracurricular activities”, but he also loved Georgia football, good food, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Brooks; brother, Gary Jones; aunt, Tina Husley; paternal grandfather, Jim Brooks; and maternal grandmother, Bernice Couch.
Kyle is survived by his daughter, Starla; his mother, Sheree Hulsey; his maternal grandfather, Larry Couch; his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Brooks; his sisters, Tosha Hulsey (including his nephews, Tyler and Donavan); Rebecca (Brooks) Boyd (including his nieces, Caitlyn, Mackenzie, Harley, and Harper) and Angie Brooks; as well as many cousins, other family members, and an amazing number of friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
