Deborah Lynn Loggins Autry, age 64, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Debbie was born December 8, 1955 in Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Wilburn (Gid) Loggins and the late Ventalee Jones Loggins Smithwick.
Debbie attended F.T. Wills High School and lived in the Smyrna area for most of her young life. She worked for years at S. P. Richards and for the last 10 years before her retirement she was a bookkeeper for Sam’s Club in Hiram and Rome. She was a member of New Season Church in Hiram.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Terry Autry of Rome, to whom she was married November 4, 2011. She is also survived by her children: Brandon Phillips of Carrollton, Danny Autry of Calhoun, Zach Autry of Adairsville, Christy Abernathy of Rydal and Robby Abernathy of Adairsville. Grandchildren: Kyleigh Phillips, Kenneth Burrell, Sara Autry, Makayla Autry, Clay Duncan, Emma Duncan, Ashley Tant, Brittany Tant, Dekoda Abernathy, and Hannah Abernathy. Brother: Wade Smithwick of Smyrna and sister Audrey Smithwick of Smyrna. Two great-grandchildren: Karson Tant and Maverick Duncan. A niece, Jessica Smithwick of Smyrna and a nephew, Nick Smithwick of Clayton, North Carolina, Two grand-nephews also survive.
The body will lie instate at Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services at 4671 South Main Street in Acworth on Sunday, June 7, 2020. The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 5 pm. A memorial service will start at 5 pm. The Rev. Steve Flockhart will officiate the ceremony. Due to the current safety guidelines from COVID-19 there is a limit of 25 people at a time allowed in the chapel. People who wish to view the body or see the family may rotate through the line. There will only be 25 people allowed at the Memorial Service. All Attendees must wear a mask. Social distancing rules apply.
