In Loving Memory

Retired MSgt Delmar “Glenn” McEver of Villa Rica, Ga passed away of natural causes on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the age of 76.  He is survived by his wife Linda McEver, daughters Julie McKinney (Brad McKinney) and Janet Nichols (Brent Nichols), grandchildren Jake and Sarah Nichols, Sabrina Alley, Kaitlyn Archibald, Jared McKinney, and his sister JoAnne Maxwell.

Glenn was born to Laura (Ledford) and Anson George McEver on July 13, 1946.  He joined the U.S. Navy in 1963 and served in the Vietnam War.  He returned home in 1967 where he met the love of his life, Linda Phillips and they married on November 9, 1968. Soon after Glenn joined the U.S. Air Force embarking on a distinguished military career lasting 20 years and retiring in 1991. He continued a career in federal civil service for another 20 years until his retirement in 2015.

Glenn was a lifetime member of the U.S. Navy Swift Boat Sailor’s Association.  He enjoyed traveling with his family, gardening, and was everyone’s “go to guy” for technology.  He is our beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be forever missed by all who knew him. 

Internment services will be conducted March 23, 10:00am at the Georgia National Cemetery.  Celebration of Life reception to follow, location to be announced once details are finalized.
