It is with profound sadness that the family of Dennis Lee Foster SR announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the age of 78 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his beautiful wife Merlinda Foster of 53 Years, Son Dennis Foster JR, Daughter Melinda Foster; Grandchildren Lauren Downing and Samantha Downing; Great Grandchildren Johntae, Gracie, and Daizy.
Dennis was born on December 26, 1943, in Lexington, Nebraska. Shortly after his High School Graduation, he joined the United States Army. Where he got to travel all around the world. He was blessed with not having to fight in the war. His final duty station was in the Philippine Islands, where he met and fell madly in love with a local. This is the woman who changed his life forever. He was finally able to marry this woman in 1968. This is where it all began. When he got out of the Army, they moved back to the states and they began working on their family. He had a great job with AT&T and moved around a few times, and had a couple of children. The last move was here to Georgia, where he peacefully retired. Dennis had a passion for Auto Mechanics, technology, Billiards, this Country, and more than anything, he loved his wife and family. He never missed a chance to provide us with advice, courage, support, a good joke, but more importantly that famous middle finger of his. APA played a huge factor in their lives, this is where they received the nicknames of "Mom & Pop". He was a walking rule book for everyone and made an impression on all of the people he ever encountered. He will be greatly missed.
